How to check an ERC-20 USDT address or transfer
A wallet address shows public account history. A transaction hash identifies one transfer. First confirm that the sending record actually says Ethereum / ERC-20.
Copy an address or hash
An Ethereum address has 40 hexadecimal characters after 0x; a transaction hash has 64. An exchange order number is not an on-chain hash.

Inspect ERC-20 transfers
Check Status, From, To and Token Transfers (ERC-20). Verify the token contract independently; an ETH transaction list alone may not show USDT activity.
The receiving platform may still be waiting for confirmations or completing an internal credit review.
Check the full contract against the issuer’s official information, not just the icon, ticker or apparent balance.
If the network was wrong, identify the actual chain and who controls the destination before taking any further action.

How to check a Ethereum / ERC-20 transfer
- Open the exchange or wallet withdrawal history and copy the transaction ID—not the order number.
- Confirm the selected network matches the withdrawal network exactly.
- Check status, confirmations, destination address and token-transfer details.
- If successful, compare the destination address and any required memo or tag.
- Contact the receiving platform with the transaction ID if the required confirmations have passed.
On-chain transfers cannot normally be reversed. A successful status does not prove that you chose the intended network, token contract or destination.

- Wallet address
- A public destination or account identifier. It can show an account’s public history.
- TxID / Hash
- The unique identifier for one on-chain transaction.
- Exchange order number
- An internal platform reference. A public explorer usually cannot search it.

How do I look up an ERC-20 USDT transfer?
Confirm that the sending network is Ethereum mainnet. Paste the public 0x transaction hash below, open Etherscan and inspect Status, From, To and Token Transfers (ERC-20).
Can I tell the network from a 0x address?
No. Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain and other EVM networks use the same address format. Read the network in the original withdrawal record.
Why does Etherscan show Success but my USDT is not credited?
The Ethereum transaction may be complete while the receiving exchange waits for confirmations, verifies the contract or processes an internal credit. Send the transaction hash to that platform after its stated waiting time.
Why do I see ETH transfers but not USDT?
On an Etherscan address page, ERC-20 activity appears in Token Transfers (ERC-20), separately from normal ETH transactions. Check the transaction details and token contract.
Can Etherscan recover USDT sent on the wrong network?
No. An explorer only shows public records and cannot reverse a transfer. Recovery depends on the actual chain and who controls the receiving address.
Is a token named USDT always genuine?
No. Names and icons can be copied. Verify the token contract against the issuer’s official information before treating a transfer as genuine USDT.
