There is no 100% foolproof method, but be highly alert when you see the following signs:
- Promises of guaranteed profits / high returns with principal protection / get rich quick: There are no guaranteed profits in financial markets; such language is almost always a scam.
- Aggressive recruitment and multi-level commissions: Typical characteristics of a Ponzi scheme or pyramid scheme.
- Anonymous team and vague whitepaper: No verifiable background or real-world product can be found.
- Only available on obscure, small platforms, with pressure to "deposit quickly or miss the opportunity."
- Requires you to authorize a wallet or provide seed phrases: This is a direct attempt to steal your assets.
For beginners to protect themselves: prioritize mainstream coins and exchanges, stay away from the lure of "100x coins," and never disclose your seed phrases. Further reading: Airdrops and Scam Prevention, Beginner Security Setup.
