To be honest: Some people make money, but many also lose — there is no such thing as a "sure thing." Bitcoin’s price is extremely volatile; daily swings of 10% are common. Beginners usually lose money not because of Bitcoin itself, but because of these behaviors:

  • Chasing pumps and panic selling: Buying at the top out of FOMO during rallies, and panic selling during dips.
  • Going all-in or borrowing to invest: A single drawdown can be devastating, completely breaking your mindset.
  • Using high-leverage futures: Amplifies losses, often leading to liquidation after just a few trades.

A more prudent approach is: only use spare money, start small, diversify your holdings, set a stop-loss, and understand bull and bear market cycles instead of trying to predict price levels. If you want to first understand the asset itself, check out What is Bitcoin.
