Three Different Ways Funds May Enter Binance
| Route | Where the funds begin | Check before submitting | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|---|
| On-chain crypto deposit | Crypto already held in your wallet or another platform | Asset, full network name, deposit address, memo/tag and minimum deposit | You already own the asset and can match both networks exactly |
| Available fiat or buy-crypto channel | A bank, card or payment provider currently shown to your account | Regional eligibility, same-name account, quote, fee, exchange rate, limits and provider terms | The route is visible and your own payment account qualifies |
| P2P | A trade with another user under a platform order | Market availability, verified names, ad limits, counterparty terms, payment details and appeal rules | The feature is permitted and enabled for your account and you understand peer-to-peer risk |
If a route is absent from your account, do not try to unlock it with a false location, a borrowed account or an off-platform contact. Availability and compliance depend on your actual circumstances and the latest terms.
Compare the Amount Received, Not a Memorized Fee
The all-in cost can be distributed across the quoted price, spread, Binance or provider fees, payment-provider charges, foreign-exchange conversion and an external wallet's withdrawal fee. A screen that says “zero fee” does not necessarily mean the final trade has no cost.
- Record the amount paid, the asset quantity expected and every fee shown before confirmation.
- Compare the final quantity received for the same fiat amount at roughly the same time.
- Check whether the quote can refresh, how long it remains valid and whether a provider charges separately.
- Do not rely on a fixed percentage, minimum or settlement time copied from an article.
Route 1: Deposit Crypto from a Wallet or Another Platform
- Open Deposit Crypto in Binance and choose the actual asset.
- Read the networks Binance currently supports, then select the exact same full network name at the sender.
- Copy the address from the current deposit screen; do not type it or rely only on an old screenshot.
- If the screen provides a memo or tag, copy and verify it together with the address.
- Check the minimum deposit, confirmation information and the sender's live withdrawal fee.
- When practical, send a small test first, keep the TxID and wait for credit before moving the remainder.
ERC-20, BEP-20, TRC-20, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and Linea are separate networks. Several EVM networks use the same 0x address shape, so the address alone cannot identify the route.
Route 2: An Available Fiat, Card or Third-Party Purchase Channel
Continue only when the payment method and currency are displayed to your signed-in account. The legal name on the payment instrument generally needs to match the verified Binance account; third-party or mismatched accounts may be declined, returned or reviewed.
- Verify the pay currency, asset received, current exchange rate and final quantity.
- Review fees that may be charged by Binance, a bank, card network or third-party provider.
- Read the refund, failure, limit, identity and regional eligibility terms.
- Do not assume that a payment route seen previously remains available today or to another user.
Route 3: P2P
P2P is an order-based trade with another user, not a direct payment to Binance. Markets, fiat currencies, methods, fees and ads can change. Confirm that the feature is available in your real location and complete the required identity and security checks first.
- Use the live order page to read the price, limits, payment method and counterparty terms.
- Verify the payee name and account details displayed inside the current order.
- Use a payment account legally held by you and consistent with your verified identity.
- Pay only the account shown in the order; reject replacement details and off-platform settlement.
- Mark paid only after you have actually paid. If payment was made, do not cancel before a refund is back in your account.
- Preserve evidence and use the in-order appeal flow if the name, amount, account or release is disputed.
Why There Is No Guaranteed Arrival Time
A fiat or purchase route can involve bank processing, a payment provider, compliance checks and Binance ledger crediting. A crypto deposit first needs blockchain processing and then Binance's own confirmation and crediting workflow.
- Blockchain state: use the public TxID to check whether the transaction was broadcast, executed and confirmed.
- Platform credit: even after on-chain success, Binance may still be waiting for required confirmations, a minimum-amount check, wallet maintenance or an internal review.
No TxID usually means there is not yet proof that the sender broadcast the transfer. If the explorer shows success but the balance is missing, verify the address, network, memo, minimum and deposit history before giving the TxID to official support.
